Indivisible was founded by Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg in 2016 as a progressive movement and organization in the United States as a response to the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. The movement's organizational leadership includes the Indivisible Project, Indivisible Civics, and Indivisible Action.
Desert Democracy stands firmly in alignment with Indivisibleās commitment to non-violence as a foundational principle of civic engagement and community organizing. We believe that meaningful change is built through peaceful action, respectful dialogue, and collective resilience.
We do not condone violence, threats, or intimidation in any formāwhether physical, verbal, or digital. Our members, partners, and volunteers are expected to uphold these values in all interactions, both online and in person.
Non-violence is not passive. It is a courageous, strategic stance that empowers communities to challenge injustice, dismantle harmful systems, and build inclusive governance through solidarity and care.
Together, we riseānot through force, but through fierce compassion and unwavering commitment to justice.
Indivisibles organizeāwhich means building power and flexing at key moments. Indivisible Groups take action in their communities, build collective purpose, and create change.
Don't worry, we won't be offendedĀ šĀ Just stay aware and involved!
