Desert Democracy
Central Phoenix Chapter of Indivisible!
Join us on Saturday, February 7th for our Chalk the Walk gathering â a simple, creative way to speak your mind in public space. Bring your boldest, most colorful words; weâll bring the chalk. What you write might be exactly what someone else needs to see.
If this is new for you, itâs more grounding and liberating than youâd expect. Just show up, add your voice, and be part of something bright and communal.
Thereâs an important SRP Board election on April 7, and most eligible voters donât even know itâs happening. This postcard session helps neighbors understand the election, check their eligibility, and learn how to register if needed.
The candidates elected will influence electric prices, solar / energy policy, whether there are AI date centers built at taxpayersâs expense, wasteful water practices and SRPâs dirty power plant policy. Turning Point USA is trying to capture this Board! We could keep TPUSA from passing all those devastating policies with the simple act of sending out targeted postcards.
Weâll provide postcards, scripts, and addresses. You bring your energy and your handwriting. Itâs an easy, highâimpact way to help people get the information they need to participate.
Wednesday, February 18th
đ 5:00PM - 7:00PM
Secure your spot and bring a friend along. This isn't a one-time event. Check out future sessions when you sign up for this one!
We know Wednesdays can feel like a slogâbut together, we can turn that energy into momentum for democracy. Our âHump Day! Forget Trump Day!â gathering is designed to recharge spirits, connect neighbors, and keep our movement strong.
This isnât just another meetingâitâs a chance to recommit to the values that matter most: fairness, inclusion, and the power of everyday people to shape our future.
On Saturday, March 28, Phoenix is joining cities across the country for the next No Kings mobilization â a day of peopleâpowered action built on one simple truth: we donât do kings here. Not in the desert, not in our democracy, not anywhere.
Our Phoenix gathering will connect with the national movement while staying rooted in the realities of our own community â heat, grit, resilience, and a deep belief that power belongs with the people who live here.
Whether youâve been with No Kings from the start or youâre stepping in for the first time, March 28 is a moment to show up, stand together, and make it clear that Arizona is wide awake.
Mark your calendar and spread the word â Phoenix is in!
Watch the video and share it widely.
Let it be a spark â a reminder of why we show up, why we organize, and why every voice matters.
Bruce Springsteen's powerful new song and video cuts straight to the heart of this moment in America. With his signature blend of grit, compassion, and unflinching honesty, Springsteen uses his platform to remind us whatâs at stake â and what weâre capable of when we stand together.
For Desert Democracy, this isnât just a song â itâs a cultural touchstone. Art has always been part of how movements grow, how communities stay connected, and how we remember our shared values. Democracy isnât abstract. Itâs lived, felt, and fought for by real people every day.
Weâre thrilled to have a new home for sharing research, resources, and stories that strengthen our community and our democracy.
Hereâs what you can expect here:
⢠Clear voter education tools to help you and your neighbors stay informed
⢠Research-driven insights that make complex issues accessible and actionable
⢠Fact-based resources designed to reduce disinformation and build trust in civic participation
⢠Stories and reflections that remind us why engagement matters
Our mission is simple: make democracy accessible, inclusive, and resilient. Whether youâre here to stay up-to-date, dive into research, or share reliable resources with others, youâre part of something bigger â a movement rooted in clarity, connection, and truth.
A grassroots, bottom-up, and local effort to show our neighbors and passersby they are not the only ones furious, embarrassed, worried, and/or fed up!
Community is our strengthâand connection fuels our resistance!
Come join us for coffee, tea, good food, and even better conversation as we build relationships and stand together.
Every dollar fuels action. Your contribution helps strengthen grassroots advocacy, support initiatives, and amplify voices who drive meaningful change. With your financial support, we can expand outreach, fund critical programs, and empower individuals fighting for a more just and equitable future. Be a change maker!
Are you concerned with the actions of this administration? No matter who you are - lifelong progressive, ex-MAGA, independent, moderate republican, socialist, libertarian, political newbie - all are welcome! We'll keep in the loop on opportunities around Phoenix and how you can get involved!
